Elegant, smooth, and naturally balanced, this artisan support spindle set is crafted from pear wood and paired with a pear and mulberry lap support bowl, designed for comfortable supported spinning.

At 24 grams, this spindle offers a versatile mid-weight feel that works beautifully for fine to medium yarns, wool, alpaca blends, and everyday spinning. The 24.5 cm (9.6″) length provides excellent control and steady rotation while maintaining comfortable drafting space.

Pear wood is known for its smooth grain and refined density, producing a spindle that feels silky in hand while maintaining consistent spin performance. The lap support bowl provides a wider spinning surface than standard bowls, allowing longer uninterrupted spinning sessions.

The combination of pear and mulberry wood in the bowl adds both durability and natural color contrast while maintaining a warm organic aesthetic.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax to protect the wood and highlight its beautiful grain.
