Strong, grounded, and designed for long spin times, this artisan support spindle set features a smooth plum wood shaft paired with a dense walnut wood whorl, completed with a walnut lap support bowl for maximum stability and comfort.

At 32 grams, this spindle offers excellent momentum, making it ideal for medium to heavier yarns, longwools, alpaca blends, and confident plying. The longer 27.5 cm (10.8″) length provides steady reach and a powerful, predictable spin path, perfect for spinners who enjoy slower, sustained rotation.

The lap support bowl provides a wider, more stable base than standard bowls, allowing extended spin times with fewer interruptions. Walnut adds durability and weight, while plum contributes a silky feel and refined visual warmth to the spindle.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax for a smooth, fiber-safe surface.
