Strong, grounded, and designed for long spinning sessions, this artisan support spindle set features a smooth chestnut wood shaft paired with a stable beech wood whorl, completed with a walnut lap support bowl for maximum comfort and stability.

At 28 grams, this spindle provides excellent momentum, making it ideal for medium to heavier yarns, longwools, alpaca blends, and relaxed plying. The 25.5 cm (10″) length offers confident control and steady rotation, supporting long drafting and slow, powerful spins.

The lap support bowl is wider and heavier than standard bowls, allowing the spindle to spin freely on your lap or table with minimal interruption. Walnut adds durability and warmth to the bowl, while chestnut and beech create a balanced, reliable spinning tool.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax for a smooth, fiber-safe surface.
