Strong, elegant, and beautifully balanced, this artisan support spindle set features a smooth pear wood shaft combined with a dense walnut wood whorl, paired with a mulberry and pear lap support bowl designed for comfortable supported spinning.

With a weight of 31 grams, this spindle provides excellent momentum and long spin times, making it ideal for medium to heavier yarns, wool, alpaca blends, textured fibers, and comfortable plying. The 26.5 cm (10.4″) length offers steady rotation and generous drafting space.

Pear wood offers a refined texture and smooth feel in hand, while walnut provides additional density and stability at the whorl for balanced spinning performance. The lap support bowl provides a wider spinning surface than standard bowls, allowing longer uninterrupted spinning sessions when used on the lap or table.

The combination of mulberry and pear wood in the bowl creates a durable and visually beautiful spinning base with warm natural wood tones.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax to protect the wood and enhance its natural grain.
