Strong, elegant, and beautifully balanced, this artisan support spindle set features a smooth pear wood shaft paired with a dense walnut wood whorl, complemented by a walnut and mulberry lap support bowl designed for comfortable supported spinning.

With a weight of 35 grams, this spindle delivers powerful momentum and long spin times, making it ideal for medium to heavy yarns, wool, alpaca blends, textured fibers, and comfortable plying. The 26 cm (10.2″) length provides stable rotation and comfortable drafting space.

Pear wood provides a refined, smooth feel in hand, while walnut adds weight and stability at the whorl, creating excellent balance and consistent spin performance. The lap support bowl offers a wider spinning surface than standard bowls, allowing longer uninterrupted spinning sessions while spinning in the lap or on a table.

The combination of walnut and mulberry wood in the bowl creates a durable and visually striking spinning base with natural wood contrast.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax to protect the wood and highlight its natural beauty.
