Stable, powerful, and beautifully crafted, this artisan support spindle set features a chestnut wood shaft paired with a walnut wood whorl, complemented by a lap support bowl made from beech and pear wood.
With a weight of 32 grams, this spindle provides strong momentum and smooth rotation, making it ideal for medium yarns, wool, alpaca, and longer spinning sessions. The 25 cm (9.8″) length offers comfortable drafting space and excellent balance.
Chestnut wood provides strength and elasticity for the shaft, while the walnut whorl adds density and stability for consistent spinning performance.
The beech and pear lap support bowl offers a stable spinning surface and allows the spindle to rotate smoothly when used on the lap or table.
Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax to protect the wood and highlight its natural grain.
