Lightweight, responsive, and beautifully crafted, this handmade support spindle for yarn spinning features a chestnut wood shaft paired with a distinctive grey walnut whorl, complemented by a beech support bowl.

With a weight of 16 grams, this spindle is well suited for fine yarns, lace spinning, wool, alpaca blends, and delicate fiber drafting. The 23.5 cm (9.3″) length provides excellent control and comfortable drafting space while maintaining smooth and balanced rotation.

Chestnut wood offers strength and elasticity while remaining lightweight, while the grey walnut whorl provides balanced density that improves spinning stability and momentum.

The beech support bowl offers a smooth spinning surface and stable base for supported spinning on the lap or table.

Each spindle set is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax to protect the wood and highlight its natural grain.
