Strong, stable, and beautifully balanced, this handmade support spindle for yarn spinning features a walnut wood shaft paired with a pear wood whorl, complemented by a pear lap support bowl.

With a weight of 37 grams, this spindle offers excellent momentum and long spin times, making it ideal for medium to heavier yarns, wool, alpaca blends, textured fibers, and plying. The 24.5 cm (9.6″) length provides comfortable drafting space while maintaining stable and consistent spinning.

Walnut wood provides durability and balanced density for the shaft, while the pear wood whorl adds smooth weight distribution that improves spinning stability.

The pear lap support bowl offers a wider spinning surface than traditional bowls, allowing smooth rotation during supported spinning sessions on the lap or table.

Each spindle set is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax to protect the wood and highlight its natural beauty.
