Compact, strong, and beautifully balanced, this artisan support spindle set features a smooth chestnut wood shaft paired with a dense pear wood whorl, completed with a handcrafted beech support bowl for stable, reliable spinning.

At 31 grams, this spindle delivers excellent momentum in a shorter format, making it ideal for medium to heavier yarns, longwools, alpaca blends, rustic fibers, and confident plying. The 23 cm (9.1″) length keeps the spindle compact and controlled while still offering powerful, sustained rotation.

Chestnut provides warmth and resilience in the shaft, while pear adds smooth density at the whorl. The beech bowl offers a neutral, low-friction spinning surface that complements the spindle’s weight and balance.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax for a smooth, fiber-safe surface.
