Elegant, powerful, and beautifully balanced, this artisan support spindle set features a smooth pear wood shaft combined with a dense walnut whorl, paired with a walnut and mulberry lap support bowl designed for comfortable supported spinning.
With a weight of 33 grams, this spindle delivers strong momentum and long spin times, making it ideal for medium to heavier yarns, wool, alpaca blends, textured fibers, and comfortable plying. The 25 cm (9.8″) length provides excellent control while maintaining smooth and steady rotation.
Pear wood offers a refined, silky feel in hand, while walnut provides additional density and stability at the whorl for balanced spinning. The lap support bowl offers a wider spinning surface compared to standard bowls, allowing longer uninterrupted spinning sessions while spinning in the lap or on a table.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax to protect the wood and highlight its natural grain.
