Strong, elegant, and beautifully balanced, this artisan support spindle set features a smooth plum wood shaft paired with a distinctive Caucasian sycamore whorl, completed with a beech and pear lap support bowl designed for long, comfortable spinning sessions.

At 31 grams, this spindle delivers excellent momentum, making it ideal for medium to heavier yarns, longwools, alpaca blends, rustic fibers, and confident plying. The 25.5 cm (10″) length provides steady control and a predictable spin path, supporting slow, powerful rotations.

Caucasian sycamore adds visual character and balanced density to the whorl, while plum contributes a silky feel and refined warmth to the shaft. The lap support bowl, combining beech for stability and pear for smoothness, offers a wide, low-friction base that allows extended spin times with minimal interruption.

Each piece is handmade in the Kravelli workshop in Georgia and finished with natural oils and beeswax for a smooth, fiber-safe surface.
